Suryapet: District Collector D Amoy Kumar on Thursday said that special measures would be taken up at 43 hyper-sensitive polling stations during the upcoming municipal elections to ensure free and fair polling in these areas.

Launching a training programme on smart stream technology of webcasting held for the staff at the district Collectorate, Amoy Kumar said that election teams and police would keep an eagle eye on 43 hyper sensitive polling stations in the district. Among 43 hyper sensitive polling stations, 27 hyper sensitive polling stations fall in Suryapet municipality, 12 in Tirumalgiri municipality, 12 in Kodad municipality and two in Nereducharla municipality. He told that polling process would be monitored from the district Collectorate through web casting, he added.

He said that the candidates engaged for webcasting should check whether internet coverage and electricity supply was available at the polling station for the webcast and should conduct trail tests. He has also explained the rules and regulations for webcasting of polling stations.
