Khammam: Several senior TRS leaders campaigned for the party nominees contesting in the municipal polls in Wyra, Madhira, Kothagudem and Yellandu on Thursday.
Khamamm MP and TRS floor leader in Lok Sabha Nama Nageswar Rao, MLA L Ramulu Naik and ZP chairman L Kamal Raj campaigned in Wyra and Madhira. At Yellandu MLA B Haripriya and at Kothagudem MLA V Venkateswar Rao campaigned for the party nominees.
During the electioneering a large number of CPI(M) workers joined TRS at Wyra in the presence of MLA Ramulu Naik. The CPI(M) workers stated that they were impressed with Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s administration and hence decided to join TRS.
Nageswar Rao, who travelled in a passenger train from Khammam to Madhira, interacted with passengers onboard and urged them to support the TRS in the municipal polls. He along with MLC B Lakshmi Narayana, Seeds Development Corporation chairman K Koteswar Rao and others participated in the election campaign at Madhira.
Speaking on the occasion the MP noted that the State government led by Chandrashekhar Rao had been spending large amounts of funds on development of infrastructure in municipalities and created many new municipalities. Electing TRS nominees would help get funds for development of the municipalities. Hence, voters have to take a wise decision and support the TRS in the elections, the MP noted.
