Hyderabad: Students belonging to SFI vandalised the main campus of Narayana Junior College at Madhapur on Thursday protesting against the suicide of an Intermediate first year student on Wednesday.

Student Sravya committed suicide at the hostel of Narayana Junior College, Bandlaguda, on Wednesday due to academic pressure. The students demanded the arrest of principal Narayana. They also demanded closure of all unaffiliated junior colleges in the city.

SFI city secretary Md Javeed said, "We demand that the government should provide compensation. It's already more than 24 hours but there is no response from the government. Student suicides are increasing in private junior colleges. So we want the government to shut down and seize all unaffiliated private junior colleges."
