Hyderabad: The University Grants Commission (UGC) directed all universities to create awareness about armed forces and sacrifices made by them on the occasion of Armed Forces Flag Day.
The Flag Day is celebrated on December 7 to commemorate the sacrifices made by the military personnel to protect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country.
In a notice released by the UGC on Monday stated, “The universities are requested to organise functions, talks for the students in their college and institutions to generate awareness among the youth about the sacrifices made by our armed forces and the significance of the Flag Day in our lives’.
