Vote for TRS is a vote for Congress: BJP | Published: 13th June 2018 | Posted Date: Wednesday 13th June 2018 06:26 PM

Hyderabad: Claiming that there is no difference between the TRS and the Congress, Telangana BJP president K. Laxman on Tuesday said a vote for the TRS would be a vote for the Congress and vice versa.

Admitting several leaders from Khammam, Jagityal and Hyderabad into the BJP on Tuesday, Dr Laxman said that only the BJP can defeat a family party like the TRS.

He called the people to defeat all opportunistic parties in the coming elections.

Even after the BJP emerging as single largest party in Karnataka, he said it could not form the government due to unholy alliance between the Congress and the JD(S).

He alleged that the Congress is seeking the votes on the basis of caste and creed and people should teach a lesson to it. He said the BJP is gaining strength in southern states including Telangana and BJP chief Amit Shah is coming to the city to discuss strategy.

KCR, Owaisi back Modi: Congress

TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy said on Tuesday alleged that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and MIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi are supporting Prime Minister Narendra Modi directly and indirectly.

Speaking at an iftar party hosted by the Congress on Tuesday, Mr Reddy said Mr Rao had a secret agreement with Mr Modi and the TRS chief was the first person to support demonetisation.

Mr Reddy recalled that the TRS chief had promised 12 per cent reservation for the Muslims if he was voted to power. But even after being in power for four years, the TPCC chief said the TRS government did not implement this promise.
He said the Muslims are feeling insecure under the Modi government.
