Lt Gen DR Soni briefed on Cantonment security

Hyderabad: Lt. Gen. D.R. Soni, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C), Southern Command, was briefed on the security arrangements by Maj. Gen. N. Srinivas Rao, GOC, AP and TS Sub Area, including roads in the cantonment.

Maj. Gen. Srinivas Rao spoke about preparedness, infrastructure development, sustainable environment projects, educational institutions and feedback on road opening in the cantonment.

He visited the command and control centre at the TS and AP Sub Area headquarters and was briefed on the integration of security related equipment. He presented the GOC-in-C commendation to an officer, a junior commissioned officer and a non-commissioned officer.

Lt. Gen. Soni was also briefed on information technology initiatives in ex-servicemen Contributory Health Scheme and office automation.
