Samantha Akkineni, one of the top actresses in South Indian cinema today, has been approached for a biopic, which is to be directed by none other than senior director Singeetham Srinivasa Rao of the Pushpaka Vimanamu fame.
A source tells us that Singeetham has planned to do a biopic on Bangalore Nagarathnamma, a Carnatic singer, cultural activist, social reformer, freedom fighter and courtesan. “The director has approached Samantha for the biopic, and Samantha has shown positive signs about taking up this film, and once the director gives a complete narration of the story, she would like to finalise it,” adds the source.
This is indeed a good opportunity for Samantha to be working with a legendary director such as Singeetham. We have learnt that the script of the film is ready, and once the industry is back to normal, the details of the film will be announced.
