Hyderabad: MIM president Asaduddin Owaisi came for praise on social media for keeping his cool amid slogan shouting in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday. The video of his swearing-in was shared widely, and many netizens wondered how sloganeering was allowed in Parliament.

Venkat Gandhi tweeted, “Heckling an elected member of Parliament with slogans is a shame on the part of the BJP. Salute the spirit of Asaduddin Owaisi (sic).”

Ranish Hangloo said, “The chants of Jai Sri Ram were uncalled for. Asaduddin Owaisi was cheerful and behaved like a true leader. This is the Parliament and not an election venue. Atleast in Parliament religious chants must be banned (sic).”

Ehtashaam Shamshi tweeted, “He is the real voice of the Parliament of India (sic).”
