Hyderabad: On the directions of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, government departments are preparing 60-day action plans to resolve the problems that people face in respect of their services.

As a part of this, Telangana State Southern Power Distribution Company (Southern Discom) is conducting a “power week” to solve the energy-related problems facing by the people.

Southern Discom chairman and MD G. Raghuma Reddy said he had directed officials to visit the villages and inspect streetlight loads, provide special phase line for streetlights where needed, repair loose wires, set up new power poles where required, replace damaged power poles among others in coordination with the sarpanches and village secretaries. He asked the officials after visiting the villages to prepare a report the steps to be taken and required equipment and material by August 23.
