Telangana, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh Coronavirus Live Updates: Telangana on Tuesday reported 2,012 new Covid-19 cases and 13 more fatalities, taking the tally of those infected in the state to 70,958, according to the state health bulletin. The death toll due to the virus rose to 576.
Out of the new cases, 532 were from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), followed by 188 in Ranga Reddy, 41 in Karimnagar, the state government bulletin said, providing data as of 8 pm on August 4. The case fatality rate in the state stood at 0.81 per cent, while it was 2.10 per cent at the national level, it said.
Meanwhile, the rise in coronavirus cases in Andhra Pradesh continued, with the addition of 9,747 cases on Tuesday, taking the state tally to 1,76,333, PTI reported.
With 67 fatalities being reported in the last 24 hours, the state death toll touched 1,604, according to a government bulletin.
As many as 6,953 patients recovered in the last 24 hours, pushing the total number of those recovered to 95,625. There are around 79,104 active case at present, the bulletin stated.
The recovery rate improved to 54.23 per cent while the mortality rate was 0.91 per cent.
