Hyderabad: Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao on Monday opened the Bairamalguda RHS flyover for traffic.

Mayor Bonthu Rammohan, Education Minister P. Sabitha Indra Reddy and other elected public representatives

accompanied him.

The flyover was constructed under the Strategic Road Development Programme (SRDP) and will aid in one-way traffic flow from LB Nagar end towards the Owaisi junction.

Under Package II of SRDP, GHMC is constructing 14 structures, including eight flyovers and four underpasses in different areas of LB Nagar at a total cost of Rs 448 crore. Among these, five structures, including the Chintalkunta underpass, Kamineni LHS flyover and the LB Nagar LHS flyover have been completed.

The Bairamalguda RHS flyover is constructed at a cost of Rs.26.45 crore . The flyover is 780 metres long and 12 metres is width. The length of viaduct portion is 400 metres.

The structure is constructed to facilitate smooth flow of traffic at Bairamalguda junction. The flyover will also enable in free flow of inner ring road traffic from Secunderabad to Owaisi and Srisailam road sides.
